Willibald-Gluck-Gymnasium

Daylight and artificial light - an ideal combination for successful school lighting

Modern school lighting improves both teaching and learning conditions. This is scientifically proven.

The positive influence of the right lighting on the ability to concentrate, the well-being and the safety of students and teachers has been proven over many years.

Schools and educational institutions today consist of many individual functional areas with quite different lighting requirements. Rooms and zones need to be well lit and at the same time offer energy efficiency.

Corridors and circulation areas have a significant impact, especially with regard to orientation.

Natural light is highly valued by architects and planners when it comes to professional lighting planning, because daylight used sensibly can often not be matched by anything else. This was also the case with the new Willibald-Gluck-Gymnasium.

The architectural firm Berschneider + Berschneider relied on heavily on daylight and transparency.

Students and teachers experience well lit open and bright spaces enhancing the time they spend there.

The Luxsystem luminaires from HADLER ensure that the circulation areas, many quiet niches, corridors, and stairwells are also skilfully and pleasantly illuminated. Effective and discrete, the luminaires were used very puristically, both recessed and surface-mounted.
